Musica Getutschtlädt Sänger:innen und Lautenist:innen herzlich zu einer Masterclass ein, die ganz der Musik von John Dowland gewidmet ist – anlässlich seines 400. Todestages. Der Intensivkurs richtet sich an Musiker*innen jeden Alters und mit unterschiedlichem Erfahrungsstand.
Am Vormittag steht individueller Unterricht im Mittelpunkt: Jede:r aktive Teilnehmer:in erhält zwei Einzelstunden à 30 Minuten. Die Nachmittage sind der gemeinsamen Ensemblearbeit (SATB & Laute) gewidmet. Gesungen wird aus historischen Stimmbüchern, wodurch nicht nur Stilgefühl und historische Aufführungspraxis vertieft werden, sondern auch ein besonders aufmerksames musikalisches Miteinander entsteht.
Bereichert wird das Programm durch einen Vortrag von Bernhard Reichel sowie einen geselligen Abend mit englischen Renaissancetänzen – eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, das kulturelle Umfeld von Dowlands Musik lebendig zu erleben.
Den Abschluss bildet ein gemeinsames Konzert am Sonntag, 18. Oktober um 17 Uhr, bei dem Dozierende und Teilnehmende die Ergebnisse der Kursarbeit präsentieren.

Musica Getutscht warmly invites singers and lutenists to apply for its masterclass dedicated to the music of John Dowland, marking the 400th anniversary of his death. This intensive course is open to participants of all ages and levels of experience.
Participants will benefit from individual tuition in the mornings, with each singer and lutenist receiving two 30-minute individual lessons. Afternoon sessions are devoted to ensemble work (SATB & lute), exploring Dowland’s music through singing from historical table books, fostering stylistic awareness and close musical collaboration.
The programme is enriched by a lecture by Bernhard Reichel and a convivial evening of English Renaissance dances, offering participants a vivid cultural context for the repertoire.
The masterclass will culminate in a final concert on Sunday, 18 October at 5 p.m., where the lecturers and participants will present the results of their work together.
